8. Choosing your delivery address on the map (optional):

No map is loaded and no mapping service is contacted unless you choose to use the map in the delivery-address step. Then your browser connects directly to:

• Showing the map: the map viewer Leaflet is loaded from cdnjs.cloudflare.com, and map images from Geoapify (maps.geoapify.com). These services receive your IP address, browser details, our site address and the area you are viewing.

• Searching: what you type in the search box is sent to Geoapify (api.geoapify.com) to suggest places in Egypt, after a short pause in typing and from three characters on. If you have chosen a governorate, its name is sent to limit the results to it; if you have placed the pin, its coordinates are sent rounded, only to rank the results; this rounding does not mean any guaranteed geographic accuracy.

• Reading an address from the pin: when you finish moving the pin, the coordinates of the location selected on the map or provided by your device, whose accuracy may vary, are sent to Geoapify to suggest the area and street name. A building number is not suggested; you type your own.

• "Use my location": location permission is requested only when you tap the button. Your browser or device determines your location, and the coordinates of the location selected on the map or provided by your device, whose accuracy may vary, are then sent to Geoapify to read the address.

• Geoapify's privacy policy says it keeps the request content, IP address and timestamp for access control, usage counting and troubleshooting, that data for successful requests is generally held for no longer than 24 hours, and that its services are hosted in EU data centres: https://www.geoapify.com/privacy-policy/

• Our store does not save your location or coordinates; only the address you confirm is saved with your order, and you can always type your address instead of using the map.
